Possible starting line-up: Jaaskelainen; Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson; Moreno, Muamba, M Davies, Petrov; Elmander, K Davies. Bolton is playing a good season and currently is on the seventh place. But the last two defeats spoiled the moment. However, Bolton opponents were Liverpool and Chelsea and maybe the defeats were expected. Manager Owen Coyle have some problems before this encounter. Lee Chung-Yong is on international duties at the Asian Cup, while Gretar Steinsson, Ricardo Garnder, Sean Davis, Jlloyd Samuel and Joey O’Brien are all out due to injuries.
In relegation zone
Possible starting line-up: Pollitt; Stam, Alcaraz, G. Caldwell, Figueroa; Thomas, Diame; Cleverley, Watson, McArthur; Rodallega. Wigan have a bad season. Currently they are into the relegation zone and manager Roberto Martinez is under a small pressure. Four players are out of this encounter. Charles N’Zogbia is suspended, while Victor Moses and James McCarthy are injured. Finally, goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi is ineligible as he is on loan exactly from Bolton. It is expected second goalkeeper Mike Pollitt to start between the posts.
Tight battle
I expect a tight battle at Reebok Stadium. Both teams are not in good form at the moment. As I already wrote, Bolton suffered two defeats in last two rounds. Wigan is little better as they earned one draw in the last two rounds. But it is important to be mentioned that draw was against Arsenal. I am sure that result increase the morale of the team and the players confidence is now much better. That is why I am believing Wigan is able to stay unbeaten here. After all, Wigan suffered just one defeat from Bolton in the last six games. And since Bolton have five important missing players (Lee Chung-Yong, Steinsson, Garnder, Davis, Samuel and O’Brien), I think both teams will be satisfied with a draw here.
