Turriff were newcomers in the Highland league last season and finished 13th with 31 points. In 2010/2011 they`ve started with 16 points from the first 9 games, so there`s big chance of overachieving in comparison with the last season. The likes of Fraserburgh, Keith, Rothes and Forres Mechanics were beaten and should earn Turriff some respect ahead of the clash against Huntly. 3-0-0 at home so far for the team and 4th place in the high-scoring standings with 25 scored goals
Tough start
Huntly amassed some losses at the start of the new campaign - they were beaten by minnows Rothes and Strathspey Thistle, as well as Keith and Nairn and find themselves on 13th position in the standings. A week ago, the team was thrown out of the Scottish cup after losing to Girvan FC, that was quite shameful. Huntly were amongst the good Highland teams last year, so their form now is below par.
Turriff to surprise
Huntly are favourites for this clash, because of their displays from last season, but nowadays they`re underperfoming. Losing to Strathspey Thistle and being eliminated by Girvan were complete upsets, so now away to high-flying Turriff it`s going to be very difficult. The lowest possible stake for the home side is a not bad shot for today, as I think they`ve little more chances to win than bookies think.
