After a very slow start to season and a 6 games run without a win,Montrose have finally taken that big step which had been expected from them at the very early season. They played a notable game vs. Clyde which they won 8:1 through a game the opposition went 2 men down and then had another big win over today`s Stranraer away from home. It was a goal-fest in first half as it ended up 1-2 for Montrose and teams were held speechless in second half.Pual Tosh,who scored a hat-trick against Clyde scored 6 goals so far. He`s still good enough to compete with big defenders and good enough to convert tough chances. Montrose will be missing important players from the defensive end of the game. GK Sandy Wood,defenders Fraser Milligan and Sean Fleming joined midfielders Hugh Davidson and Terry Masson in injury list. All these players are major missings for a Montrose side who`d already suffered of soft defending during their dreadful run of very early season.
So good at scoring goals.
With in form strikers such as Arnand One and Chris Malcolm and major goal threat from midfield, Stranraer have managed to score more than enough goals to cover their defensive weakness so far. Armand One scored 2 goals so far,but his abilites and skills offers a lot more. I still think he`s yet unperformed. Agnew and Sean Winter combined 7 goals as a total and both looked so sharp even while the strikers struggled finding the net. Stranraer,honestly,don`t impress as a team,don`t play like a dominant team all over,but their offensive variations are really impressive. Just as today`s opposition,Stranraer don`t seem to find it hard to score goals but can`t keep their net clean,either. Defenders Romauld Bouadji,Paul Murphy and midfielder Sean Winter are out this game.
It was 2-1 last week,a lot more today
These teams are open teams. Can`t defend hard and can`t even keep their lead. As both will be missing milestones from defensive line,i go for more goals than last week. 4 goals or more are no way far in a game between Montrose and Stranraer..
