With a home record of 2-0-1 6:4, and an average of 2.00 goals per game, they look like a side that are improving and capable of providing a tough match for the rest of the division, but for me they just lack that consistency that is needed to compete over a full season. Back to back wins at the end of August was followed up with a 3-1 defeat by Falkirk : a side not noted for their heavy scoring. Back home they then won 3-0 vs Thistle, but last week saw a 0-0 vs Stirling Albion end their 5 game run of scoring. They will do well, I`m sure, but for me the visit of The Pars will be as big a test as when Raith faced them, and that ended in a defeat.
Nearly Perfect Pars
A nice 2-0 win over Thistle last week maintained their unbeaten run , and gave them 4 straight wins. It was another `away` clean sheet as well, making it 2 from 4, and brought their away goals tally to 8 in 4: a nice 2 per game. Dunfermline have a touch more class about them than most of the others in this league, and it will be in games like these that they have to show that they can turn that into points.
Leaders lead again
I don`t think it will be an easy win , but I do think the Pars will keep up the great form they are in. They can score heavily when given the chance, as well as defend when on the road. QOS have yet to show me that they have the quality over time that will propel them to the top of the board. Some nice results, but they`ve only scored first in 28% of their games compared to Dunfermline`s 72%, and if that stat holds up here then we will be seeing another 3pts and a bigger gap at the top.
