East Fife is a classic mid table team, with decent (but not spectacular) results, both home and away this season. They are coming after an 1-0 away win at Arbroath, after converting a last minute penalty. Defender Steve Campbell picked an injury then, and he will miss the game against Clyde. Along with him will be the long term injured players Mark Staunton, Paul Nugent and Scott Thomas. Still, even without those players, they are unbeaten from 4 games (2 wins and 2 draws) and are looking pretty good at the moment.
The Bully Wee
Clyde is the last placed team in the Scottish 2nd Division, having an awful away record, with only 6 points from 9 games. From the reports, it seems that the only thing worse than their table position is their game play. Therefore, manager John McCormack is trying to make same late transfer until Monday when the transfer market will close. But, in the meantime, they have released midfielder Jamie Doyle, who have played 7 games so far for the team. At least for players will miss tomorrow`s trip to Methil: regular GK Callum Reidford is suspended after being sent off last round, so his reserve, Scott Findlay, will play his first game as a starter this season. Also, strikers John Stewart and Steven Howarth are injured, along with midfielder Connor Stevenson.
Home win
I found the price for a home win good enough to try it. Clyde is really poor at the moment and those missing players will surely make their situation more bitter. These teams have played against each other already 2 times this season, with The Fifers winning both mutual games. 1-0 at home and 3-1 away. Medium stakes. P.S. Possible cold weather is expected for tonight, and East Fife has called an early pitch inspection, scheduled for tomorrow morning, in order to decide if the requirements for the game to be played are meet.
