Tappara looks really bad at the moment. they have only 2 wins from last 9 games. They rely very much on the line that is build around Lehterä. Players around him have changed and will change also in future. In last game on his side skated new player Guolla and Junnila. Guolla just joined the team and it will take him a while to get in form. I don`t see Tappara game improving before that. Tappara goalie Säteri is not even midclass goalie n SM-Liiga. He has some good nights of course, but bad nights dominate. In defence Tappara has good players, but that isn`t enough. I vote for a new coach and new start for the team.
Lukko in the lead
Lukko has by far best start to SM-Liiga any team has ever had. 20 games played and 2.5 points per game is awesome record. They have really good mixture of players. They lost their first choice goalie to Russia, but got Tellqvist to fill in. He is also great goalie and I believe he will fill Vehanen`s shoes very well. In defence Rantanen is out, but there is good enough defenders in reserve to take his place. Offence is rock hard. Two great lines and lot`s of potential in third line also. For example Lauri Tukonen and Antti Laaksonen. Laaksonen played already in NHL, Tukonen has been drafted on first round as number 11, but is still waiting for opportunity to play in NHL.
I won`t go against a good streak here
Lukko is three classes above Tappare at the moment. They lost week ago in Tampere, but I don`t that match affecting this one even a bit. The game was against another Tampere team Ilves.
