FC Cartagena is placed in the 8th position (21 points, 6W – 3D – 5L)) in the Spanish Segunda. They did an excellent last season. FC Cartagena started quite good after they promoted previous season from Segunda B. They have always suffered problems to beat strong teams at home but they were the best team away from home last year. Juan Ignacio Martinez “JIM” (FC Cartagena’s coach) is a quite good strategist and then they play away from home FC Cartagena are usually being very dangerous because they had fast players and they enjoy developing this game style, steal and fast attack. They destroyed FC Barcelona B at home with this formula. They love to play with teams which want to hold the ball because they can make fast counter-attacks with high effectiveness, but they suffer so much to beat teams which are good in defensive skills and these teams are capable to create uncomfortable atmospheres in the matches. They have improved so much in last performances and they have managed two great victories against two powerful teams as Real Betis Balompie (2-1) at home and Real Valladolid (0-1) away from home. They will have three important absences: Txiki (defender) will be injured almost the rest of the season, Lafuente (creative midfielder), both with injury issues, and Toni Moral is suspended after his sent-off in the last fixture. This is the called squad for this match: Goalkeepers: Rebollo and Casilla. Defenders: Bothelo, Chus Herrero, Cala, Cygan, Expósito, Clavero y Pablo Ruiz. Midfielders: Mariano, Iñaki Muñoz, Keko, Julien y Longás. Strikers: Toche, Goiria, Victor and Arturo.
Need a Real Boost
Albacete Balompie is placed in 22nd spot (12 points, 2W – 6D – 6L) in the Spanish Segunda. Albacete Balompie changed the coach for this season. The new one is Antonio Calderon, SD Huesca’s former coach. Antonio Calderon is a defensive minded coach who is trying to manage a proper working in a team with lack of quality. Their last results haven’t been goods. They usually defend quite well and they are always a tough team to beat. They started the season in average mode. Their target is holding the category and avoiding the relegation. They played a great match against Real Betis Balompie at home and things seem to go right with their mid-table spot in the first ten rounds, but the team is having problems with their scoring power and they have to improve their defensive skills to continue in this category. They didn’t win in the last nine matches. They need collect points as soon as possible because Antonio Calderon is already questioned by their supporters and maybe he will be sacked in the next fixture. Albacete Balompie will have one important absence. Antonio Lopez (midfielder) is injured. The called squad for this game is: Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas and Miguel. Defenders: Tarantino, De la Cuesta, Kike, Toni and Zubiaurre. Midfielders: Pedro, Sumy, Verza, De Lerma, Nuñez, Pina and Alan Baro. Forwards: Alberto Abengozar, Tato and Asen.
Home Win
There are two main reasons to bet in this pick. At least those reasons are where I have based this pick. First of all, FC Cartagena has started to play great this season. It seems that FC Cartagena has returned to be the same dangerous team which almost promoted last season. They will play an important match against Albacete Balompie this round and the quality gap between this two teams are quite big. JIM has built again a strong team at defense and FC Cartagena has quality offensive players who are capable to score easily in any moment. I watched FC Cartagena against Real Betis Balompie and Real Valladolid and I can say that they have improved a lot in defense and Toche (its best striker) is scoring for fun lately and this mix of things is decisive in Spanish Segunda. I also watched Albacete Balompie last weekend. They drew (1-1) against Xerez CD, but although they finished pushing quite strong, they have many problems to create good football and score their few goal chances. They didn’t deserve to lose that match, but Xerez CD could win if they had improved their defensive performance when they scored first and they went ahead 0-1. Albacete Balompie needs win this match, but I think they will have a lot of difficulties to manage it. The second reason is something special. Albacete Balompie won the last match in the last season at Cartagena (0-4) and they saved the category, but there is something important to write here. Let’s say FC Cartagena wanted that Real Murcia relegated to Spanish Segunda B because they are eternal rivals. So, Albacete Balompie owes a favour to FC Cartagena and they trashed (0-4) and that fact didn’t like to FC Cartagena’s players. So, I think FC Cartagena’s players will be plenty motivated to win clearly this encounter. Something Off-topic: I’m going to change my staking plan, but it will be the same. I’m usually betting with units and my maximum bet is 3% of my whole bank which means 6/10 before today, but I will change to adapt my way of betting to the readers’ way. So, I will express my stake as my level of confidence. Low stake will be 4/10. Medium stake will be 6/10 or 7/10 and my high stake will be 9/10. I’m usually betting at odds from 1.80 to 2.20. So this is my plan for 365tip.com
