Getafe CF is placed in 9th spot (4 points) in the Spanish Primera. They have managed the three possible outcomes in the played matches in the domestic championship. They lost against RCD Espanyol (3-1) away from home. They won against the poor Levante UD (4-1) at home and they also drew last Monday against Deportivo (2-2). The team doesn’t stay in their best moment and they have to improve so much if they want to have a good season in all tournaments where they are involved. Michel (Getafe CF’s coach) will have several absences for the next encounter against Malaga CF. Ustari (first goalkeeper) is injured. Rafa (centre defender), Ibrahim Kas (defender), Gavilan (midfielder) and Albin (striker) are also injured. Pablo Pintos (defender) won’t play because Michel considers that it’s soon for playing in official game. Mosquera (midfielder) is suspended due to the sending-off in their last match.
Quite Unpredictable
Malaga CF is placed in 16th spot (3 points) in the Spanish Primera. They lost against Valencia CF (1-3) and versus Sevilla FC (1-2) at home and they trashed Real Zaragoza in 35 minutes (FT: 3-5). They showed a very bad face and their performance was disappointed against Valencia CF but they were simply amazing versus Real Zaragoza. They were an authentic defensive disaster against Sevilla FC. It’s incredible that an elite team can manage the defensive performance which they had against Sevilla FC last Sunday. The Club has new owners and a new coach (Jesualdo Ferreira) and a lot of players have arrived this season. They need some time to adapt to their new club and new way of game style, but they have shown the capability of doing great counters-attacks when they let be dominated. I rated Malaga CF as a team with adaptation problems in these first months in Spanish Primera, but they offered an unbelievable performance in Zaragoza, although I’m starting to think that Real Zaragoza is almost the worst team in the category. They have fast players like Quincy who can damage the best of the defense. They will have several absences: Galatto (first goalkeeper), Malagueño (defender), Manolo Gaspar (defender), Sandro Silva (midfielder), Duda (midfielder) and Sebastian Fernandez are injured. Juanito (defensive midfielder) will be doubtful until the last moment.
Two Bad Defensive Teams
I can’t really understand the odds on goals in this encounter. OK, I can understand that goals can be sometimes unpredictable, but there is value in Over 2.5 goals with odds above 1.90 – 1.95. I was reviewing the odds and I find 2.02 on Overs. Maybe this match finishes with 0-0 or any Under 2.5 goals, but these two teams defend rather bad. I watched both last matches of Malaga CF and Getafe CF and they made big mistake in the back part of the pitch. Getafe CF always wants the ball and they try to play good attacking football. They will have quite important misses. Codina (goalkeeper) will play in the starting eleven with a tired duo in defense (Cata and Marcano) due to Getafe CF has a lot of injured players in defensive line. On the other hand Malaga CF will play where more comfortable they feel. When they play away from home can use the whole of their speed in wingers as Quincy or Eliseu. They are the worst defensive team in Spanish Primera at the moment. Jesualdo Ferreira wants to play like he did with FC Porto. He thinks that Malaga CF is a great team in Spanish Primera and their wing defenders play a quite offensive mode and they don’t ever take care of their defensive jobs. Last Sunday they played an atrocious match in defensive skills, and after listening to Jesualdo Ferreira in press conference, I don’t think that he change his thoughts. Besides, none of the starting goalkeepers will play in this match, so this encounter can be an authentic spectacle with a lot of goal chances and goalkeepers’ probable mistakes and defensive wrong decisions. I hope strikers like Colunga, Rondon, Quincy or Miku can scores as goals as they can. Besides Getafe is quite tired these days because they have a lot of injury problems and they will play their 4th game in last 10 days. Malaga CF will have a chance to take advantage of their speed to damage Getafe CF’s weak defensive system.
