Borussia Dortmund shocked their huge army of fans by losing a EL home match against Sevilla. Of course, Sevilla is a well-known Spanish side, which should`ve never been underestimated in the first place, but Sevilla did not outplay Borussia in Dortmund a few days ago. It can be said Dortmund was very unlucky not to at least get a draw, but I believe they deserved to win as they had a lot more ball possession and the entire initiative in that game but simply wasted a lot of good chances and conceded a silly goal in the extra time of the first half. Barrios again proved he needs just a little space to create a good chance but Sevilla defended extremely well, plus they killed the game once Dortmund remained with one player less. Anyhow, Dortmund is second in Bundesliga with almost a perfect record of 5 wins and one loss, and will be looking to continue with their great results when they will host Bayern Munich this Sunday.
Lucky charmers
Bayern Munich proved they have a lot of quality, experience but also plenty of luck as they somehow managed to turn the game against Basel around, and eventually win by 2:1 in Switzerland in CL, which surely boosted their morale big time and gave them hopes they can finally get out of the slump they`re in at the moment, being 11th in Bundesliga with an average record of 2-2-2. Honestly, they didn`t play too well against Basel either, and when we remember how they lost to Mainz last week at home, and before that the lucky win over Hoffenheim from an offside goal in the last minute of the game, and before that not managing to beat Koln at home, one can not expect them to become the team from the last season out of nowhere. Van Gaal`s job is again in question.
Dortmund going for the win
I expect a very devoted performance by the hosts and currently one of the best teams in the league against Bayern, which is boosted after their CL triumph but still in poor form and without much creativity on the pitch being weakened cause of their superstars` absences. The atmosphere should be hell for the visitors and I give a solid advantage to Borussia, which will surely not miss the chances they did against Sevilla the other day and will surely score a goal or 2 on Bayern. Undoubtedly we`ll be watching a great match, this is the derby of the round in Bundesliga, and I expect Dortmund to fully revenge for the last year`s humiliation against Bayern, who beat them by 1:5 at home a year ago. Everything is on the home side this time. So am I. Good luck!
