Koln side is quickly improving and is playing better football in every next round so it’s clear that their new coach Zvonimir Soldo has found the right strategy for his team. I’ve written about Koln a few weeks ago when I said they aren’t playing as bad at home as the results are showing, as most of their rivals before Mainz were strong sides like Schalke, Leverkusen, while they even managed to defeated Wolfsburg there. Last week they held off Borussia Moenchengladbach to a goalless draw away from home, which was a solid result for them, just to defeat unpleasant Trier during midweek in the cup by 3:0 away. Slovenian striker Novakovic is playing amazing, and together with in-form Podolski, this team looks really dangerous.
Poor visitors
Hannover is one typical home side, and they’ve shown that with an excellent triumph against Stuttgart last week, when they won by 1:0 and held everything in their hands for the majority of that match. However, they seem to be a lot different team away, making unexplainable mistakes and having won only 4 points in the 5 matches. Nevertheless, they’re still at the terrific 11th position for them, primarily due to the great home performances, even though I believe that will change soon as well, and this Hannover side will drop in the standings quite a lot and at the end fight hard in the league. They will be without a few important defenders at this match, so a draft will be blowing in front of their own goal, but there’s no doubt Hannover will attempt to play brave and record a good result.
The Goats aren`t naive
I will, just like against Mainz two weeks ago, again back Koln to record another win at home, which would help them tie Hannover in the standings and continue their further progress. Koln has been playing phenomenal for their standards, very open, attacking and are capable of scoring a goal on anyone. Hannover are playing like cowards on the road, rarely recording good results and the fact that should be added is that they will be without a few key defenders at this match which will make their job even harder while trying to stop the furious attacks of the hosts. The odds on a home win are excellent, and I still don’t know why the odds are so high on Koln, but I believe that will change with time so this offer should definitely be used and bet on it with some decent stakes.
