Relegation candidate Catania is looking to extend their run of good results and the battle for survival goes on. After the bad start of the season Catania sacked their coach and the great motivator Sinisa Mihajlovic was appointed as their coach. To tell the truth at the beginning I didn’t believe that Mihajlovic was the right coach and I thought he is not qualified to coach a Seria A team but I must say I was wrong. Under the direction of Mihajlovic Catania changed their style of play, Catania has shown an improvement both in attack and defence recently and managed to get good results and now are hoping to avoid relegation which will be a hard task to accomplish. They are on a good run but I think that they are a little bit overrated here after that win 3-0 against Parma. They are facing a tough team Udinese which has been in a poor form lately but I think that it will be very hard for Catania to get the three points from Udinese. For tomorrow’s match Catania will miss: Barrientos, Sciacca, Lopez and Marchese while Delvecchio, Andujar, Martinez, Mascara, Alvarez and Biagianti are struggling with injuries but most probably will play tomorrow.
Surprising position
After a good start of the season no one would believe that Udinese will be a relegation candidate. Udinese currently sits on the last safe place and are in very poor run of results. This performance is very surprising for me because Udinese has very good players in their team like Di Natale, D’Agostino, Handanovic, Domizzi etc. Before the start of the season they had high expectation and the start was very promising but something changed and the bad results kept coming. The change of the coach didn’t bring anything new and the poor form continues. Lately I have seen some improvements in Udinese game and despite losing to Sampdoria last weekend they showed good football and that match could have ended either way. After that match Udinese managed to beat Milan on Thursday and even that was a cup game the victory over Milan should have boosted their morale. Tomorrow’s game is very important for Udinese because they are facing a relegation rival and this is basically a six-pointer match. Although I don’t believe that Udinese will fight for survival I still think it is an important match. Udinese is finding it’s right path and I believe tomorrow they will manage to take at least a point from Sicily.
Important match for both sides.
As I mentioned before this is basically a six-pointer as both teams lie in bottom of the table. A very tough match to predict but in my opinion this match will most probably end in a draw because it suits both teams but Udinese in my opinion has more chances to win this one. They have better players and finally are gaining back their form. I also expect a low scoring game because both teams will try to avoid defensive mistakes. GL!
