Sampdoria has been creating a good squad for years now and been recording good results in Europe, but not in Serie A, too. However, that problem seems to be finally resolved this season, as coach Luigi Del Neri’s side is currently at the top of the tables. But, Del Neri’s team showed some good performance in that match as well, which gives them enough confidence before the rest of the season. The squad is experienced and is firmly on the ground after the terrific results, which they demonstrated in the last round when they defeated the defending champs Inter at home by 1:0.
Above expectations
Parma has ensured promotion in the last season, when they started out great. Although this club possesses a good playing squad that deserves to play in Serie A next season too, they will try to do more. Parma’s players aren’t that experienced and will certainly need a bit more time to get more mature, and thus they’ll be having oscillations in their play, which is justified by the defeated at home to Cagliari (0:2) in the last round. They’re aware they’ve got nothing to lose in Genoa, so they’re traveling there with the goal of recording a positive result and get back home with smiles on their faces.
Unexpected derby
Everything’s on Sampdoria’s side in this clash. It would be crazy to even consider some other option, as I’ve already stated enough things in their favor. The hosts are big favorites, and I’m certain they will justify that role and record yet another win, as they possess a very experienced team that will surely not fall under pressure. A home win shouldn’t get in question.
