Even dough they are winning at home, they are playing really bad. They only have 10 points. Now Portsmouth is coming and they want fresh blood. In last 10 matches Blackburn played 7 matches with more then 3 goals, and 4 matches with 5 or more goals. With the names that they have they shouldn’t be outsiders but they are playing this role very well. Coach Sam Allardyce has a chance for a fifth win in 7 matches at home, and we will se if he and his team win tomorrow, because this win will mean a lot for players , like busting up their self-confidence and finally go over the line. I think they have a big job ahead of them.
Rising up
Portsmouth is rising from ashes at the moment, they have two wins in a row, against Stoke City and Wigan Athletic, and they will try to continue this row against Blackburn. They have 7 points and if they win tomorrow they will have same amount of points as Blackburn, so this game means a lot to them. Team has suffered many changes, many players left, new owner finally stabilized things in the club, and fans are coming back to Fratton Park to support the club in these crucial times. For me Portsmouth is close favorites, but we will see if that is enough for third win in a row.
Outside the safe zone
Derby match of the bottom of the league between Blackburn and Portsmouth is not the most interesting match in this weeks wheel of Premier League. Portsmouth is stuck in the bottom of the standings, and Blackburn has only three points more then them. Blackburn is playing good at home, and that is their main advantage, but I wouldn’t relax against Portsmouth who desperately needs the points.
