Tottenham’s great run of results was finally ended by Stoke in the last Premiership round by beating them at home by 1:0 with a late goal. However, the Spurs were a lot better side in that game and dominated throughout the whole game. They had a few clear chances and a lot of shots on target, but were pretty unlucky so not only they’re disappointed but also very angry. They’re gonna want to make up for that letdown in this match already when they’ll be hosting much weakened Everton. Their fans will give them a loud support, while Harry Redknapp’s players will know how to return them the favor in the best way possible.
Big problems
Everton is still having problems with the missings. Coach David Moyes still can’t count on many of his regulars, which was pretty notable in their latest matches. While he won’t be able to count on Anichebe, Arteta, Jagielka, Neville and Pienaar, it’s certain a few more players that are questionable will surely stay out, as Moyes doesn’t want to risk the potential injuries. Everton’s chances of ending their poor streak are extremely small, as they will be visiting mighty Tottenham. As long as they are having these problems, the results will be poor, and we might see their better displays the following weekend or in some upcoming weeks.
The Spurs will use their chance
Tottenham is having an ideal opportunity to easily qualify further in the League Cup, as they will be hosting clearly weakened Everton side. The odds on their win, considering the problems of the visitors are extremely big, and thus we have to take an advantage of it and try with a home with, which I’m almost sure about.
