Experienced Hoffenheim’s coach Ralf Rangnick is really having a lot of problems this season, as his team has been on a major downfall. They got into a huge crisis after a great win over Koln (4:0). That was at the end of November, and they haven’t won a single Bundesliga game ever since. I’m not sure the fans will give up on them just yet, but I actually expect them to be their “12th player” per usual on German stadiums, and make things easier to their idols against another out-of-form team Hannover. Hoffenheim can play good football, and at a very high level. It’s just that they’re currently in a very bad series of results, so I truly hope that they will end their negative series soon. Their probable lineup should be the following: Hildebrand - Beck, Ibertsberger, Šimuni?, Commper - Luiz Gustavo, Eduardo, Salihovi? - Obasi, Maicosuel, Ibiševi?.
Can`t score
Everybody is familiar with how powerless Hannover has been the past few seasons on the road. Their home results also don’t bring them too much more confidence as they are almost no better than their away scores. They only have 4 wins in total this season, and that is enough of a proof of how weak they’re. They won their last game at the end of October, beating Koln at home by 1:0, which was also in crisis back then. They recorded 3 losses in the first 3 matches of the new season, firstly getting demolished by Hertha at home (3:0), then sinking in Mainz (1:0), just to play way below their level and losing to Nurnberg (3:1) in the last round. They’re in big problems and nobody can deny that. However, they won’t bow down but will fight all the way. They don’t fight against their opponents now but also with their own mentality, which is currently very unstable. They’ll travel to Hoffenheim with the intention of using a bad series of the hosts and try to record a good result. That will be hardly likely to expect, but we can’t write them off too early. Their probable lineup: Fromlowitz - Pinto, Rausch, Haggui, Eggimann - Rosenthal, Schulz - Štajner, Elson, Bruggink - Kone.
Clash of the wounded
This is a clash of two wounded teams, which are currently in series of very bad results. Hoffenheim possesses the more quality side without any dilemma, and I expect them to justify the role of favorites in front of their fans and record that long-awaited win. Although they played very few mutual clashes (3 in total), Hoffenheim deserves to be called a favorite in that aspect as well. I have a lot of respect for the hosts’ coach Rangnick, who surely knows the way how he could get his team back from the winter sleep. His knowledge and experience will be the key for Hoffenheim’s performances in the future matches, and I hope we can expect better performances from them in this game already.
