In previous round Russian side showed that they are ready, despite winter brake. They had no problems with Israeli team Hapoel, beating them easily 3-0. Last weekend they played Russian Super Cup game in Moscow against CSKA and won 1-0. Still half of the team were given a break before Europa league game. They are coming to the game fully concentrated and almost in full squad. Only problem is a loss of captain S.Semak. But in super cup game he was well substituted by Hasan Kabze.
Benaglio and Grafite out
Wolfsburg surprised me in previous round beating Spanish side Villareal 4-1 at home and 2-2 away. They play much better at home, away record in German league stands as 4 wins from 12 games. They also played in Russia in autumn, lost 2-1 to CSKA Moscow. This time they will face freezing conditions even further from Moscow. Not the best news for germans - two very important players will miss the game, goalkeeper Benaglio and striker from Brasil Grafite. If doubftul Dzeko will not play, Wolfsburg will have quite big problems in attack.
Russians should do the job
Rubin is ready to go as far as possible, and win at home is vital. Home ground, freezing conditions and important missings in German team should be enough for victory at home. Still I`ll take this game with caution and in case of the draw will loose only half of the stake. Good luck!
