BETTING TUTORIAL - BETTING SYSTEMS
I guess all of us heard those urban legends about people that have invented some new betting system, so they can not loose, and can always have great profit in sports betting. Of course, those are legends, and they are far away from truth. If not, hothe hell is happening that we have more and more online bookmakers every day. I mean, aren't they broke.
Well, since sports betting industry is making bigger and bigger profit every year, it is almost impossible to think that some people really live from betting. It is truth that those people exists and it is also the big thruth that bookmakers are living from small punters who bet impulsively and even when they won, they can't wait till next game to loose all their profit and even more.
It is important to know that there is no systems that can promise you 100% profit and no risk of getting broke. But, still there are systems that works pretty well for lot of people. Let us explain to you betting system that works, with big risk of course.
Betting System: Martingale
Martingale is the best known betting system in the World. It have nothing to do with picking the winner. The whole story is in picking the right stakes. This system could work, not only in sports betting industry, it can work even in casinos. Originally, system was made for roulettes in casinos, especially for red and black fields.
Remeber that his system have very high risk of going broke.
How it works?
Important sentence here is: Double your stake, after you loose. Start again when you win.
For example: Let's start with 10€. You place a bet on some event with odds 2.00. If you loose, you place 20€ bet on event with odds 2.00. If you loose again, you will place 40€ bet on some event with odds 2.00. Now, if you won, you will win 40€ * 2.00 = 80€ and your sum of stakes was 40€ + 20€ + 10€ = 70€. So you made aprofit of 10€ or your profit is equal with your first stake.
It is great, isn't it? The only problem is that stake rapidly go high, so if you go in to loosing streak, you can loose all of your money easily. If you loose 5 bets in a row, your 6th bet should be 320€ which is 32 times bigger then your initial bet.
So, Martingale would be great system if we have unlimmited amount of money in our account, and if our bookmaker have no limits for bets on some event. Unfortunately, that is not a case in real life, so you have to be carefully if you are trying to implement this system.
This system have some modifications that you can think about. Since the problem is that stake rapidly go high, you can try to put it down by choosing events with bigger odds, like HT/FT X/X for example, or 1:1 correct score. If your choosen odds are higher, then you don't need to double your stake every time you bet and you can calculate which stake will still bring you the profit. Of course, since odds are bigger this events occureless then ones with odds 2.00 so your loosing streak could be much longer.
