I was expecting a better Genoa this season than last one. But they are really disappointing even with their quality squad. Genoa played Italian cup game on midweek against Grosseto and managed to qualify on ET! Genoa have troubles before Catania game. Genoa will miss forwards Palacio and Sculli. Without them Luca Toni will not be able to find too many chances. Also midfielders Veloso and Kharja are out due of injuries. Without Palacio and Sculli Genoa will have difficulties to score against Catania,especially Palacio is really big blow for the team.

After 3 win-less game since Cesena match Catania will try to give another unexpected result to Genoa as they did before against Milan away. Catania knows how to play when they are away from home and don`t give too much spaces to opponents to create chances. They will search goal(s) with counter attacks against Genoa with their quality offencive players as Maxi - Mascara. Catania will play 4-1-4-1 against Genoa away.
Surprise of the day
I can`t see an easy game for Genoa here. Odds showing Genoa as big favourite but as I mentioned without Sculli,Veloso and Palacio Genoa will have difficulties to score against ``defencive`` Catania. Also Genoa`s game style exactly suited for Sicilians. Last two meetings between these two teams ended with Catania`s victories. Last season Catania managed to win in Genoa 1-2. Genoa played extra time on Coppa game.Catania rested more. I would offer +0.5 Catania but I am chosing higher odds and Catania DNB option. Catania will grab at least 1 point from Genoa away.
