Montpellier side re-entered Ligue 1 back in 2008/09 season, after defeating Strasbourg. Out of those, a loss to Nancy at home surely didn’t feel good, and they only felt bitterness, so I believe that they will step it up against the next opponent Arles from the start, not allowing any doubts among their fans at any moment.
Got lost among the elite
Arles is a nice little team that entered the Ligue 1 this season but they don’t have the capabilities nor the quality to hang around there for too much longer, and I believe that so far they’ve already lost all their hopes for any kind of a positive result. They’re at the rock bottom of the standings, losing all their matches, having a 100% record with 6 losses out of 6 matches, and I believe they’re quickly heading towards the 7th one. Their defense looks like Swiss cheese, and their offense is so impotent and poor that their chances of scoring one goal less are higher than striking a lottery. Only 2 goals out of 6 games, with negative GD of 2:13 is quite a pathetic statistic.
The home side to take a win
Finally Montpellier has a rival that came in at a perfect moment for them, after two losses when they desperately seek for one sure win to bounce back and rejoin the race for the top of the standings but also to improve the team atmosphere. Three consecutive losses on the road for Arles with a 2:8 GD make me sure they have very few chances of snitching even one point here. I expect Arles bunker in this game but I believe in early Montpellier’s goal and later a true goal feast in Arles’ net. Home win, possibly by 2 or more. Good luck!
