Since Owen Coyle took charge of the team, Bolton showed many signs of improvement. Their passing game has more fluency, they create goal chances much easier, and their chaotic style of play from the pre-Coyle era seems to be left in the past. Anyway, they had the misfortune to meet Arsenal two time and Liverpool in their last 4 games and, although they managed nice games against the giants, they failed to take any point. Their only win under Coyle came 2 rounds ago, a struggling 1-0 over Burnley. Croatian striker Klasnic will miss the Fulham`s game, but Elmander will be fit to replace him. Also, new signing Vladimir Weiss and jack Wilshere are set to start, only american Holden`s debut being postponed due to an injury.
Fulham
The Cottagers have the reputation of a typical home team for years, and they don`t seem to be different this season, with only 1 win and 4 draws from 12 games played away from home, with their only win recorded in August last year. Last round they have put an end to a 5 games losing streak, winning 1-0 at home against Portsmouth, after a dull game, where neither of the sides showed anything special. Manager Hodgson was complaining about his team being struck by injuries, commenting this as being the worst moment of this kind experienced in 34 years of working. Right back Pantsil along with left back Konchesky are long term injured, along with american striker Clint Dempsey and Andrew Johnson, who could miss the rest of the season. Also Gera and Simon Davies are high doubts for tomorrow`s fixture, Hodgson hoping to recover at least one of them. Fulham have loaned striker Okaka from AS Rome and he made his debut last round, but he was far from being impressive.
Home win
I believe Bolton will have the edge here, against a traditional poor traveler like Fulham is. Bolton needs to gather point for the relegation battle and, with a tough month ahead, this will be a perfect start of it. Good luck.
